We cannot fetch private accounts, close-friends stories, paid subscriber posts, or anything Instagram already hid behind a login wall. That is a feature, not a bug.
iPhone and Android
On iOS Safari, download the MP4 then open the Files / share sheet and tap Save Video. On Android Chrome, the MP4 appears in the Downloads app. You never install an “Instagram saver” APK that harvests passwords.
No watermark, on purpose
Instagram already compressed the Reel. Adding a second logo would only ruin it. SaveSnap proxies the public file so the browser can store it. If you are a creator grabbing your own work for a pitch deck, this is the cleanest path.
Common mistakes
- Pasting a profile URL instead of a Reel URL.
- Using a private account you can see only because you follow it.
- Copying a link from a screenshot instead of Share → Copy link.
